Invention and engineering

Peter Florjančič is one of the most famous Slovenian inventors. He patented 400 inventions, 41 of which are still in use. Slide boxes, the plastic zipper, the perfume bottle atomizer, hand loom, side-light lighter, a closed injection system in a plastics moulding machine and a ski slide are amongst his most visible achievements. In 1957 he invented, but not perfected, an airbag system for cars.
