The experts from the University Clinical Centre (UKC) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, have pioneered the procedure for constructing a nose on a forearm using a 3D model and then transferred the nose to the face of a patient who had her nose amputated as a result of invasive skin cancer. The constructed nose had a functional vascular and nervous system.
